Prefontaine's grave is quaint but well maintained. Very peaceful and emotional place to visit for any runner that he inspired

Steve Prefontaine is buried here along with his parents resting next to him. PRE was and still is an icon to all runners. With that said, his grave site was very under whelming to me. However, so is much of Oregon besides its natural beauty. If you're here to see his grave, it's very easy to find. It's located in the middle of the cemetery. You should see it once. It's right off the 101 and if you decide to head north (turn left) from this place, use extreme caution due to how fast cars drive by. You'll have to dart over the south bound traffic lanes with no middle lane to stop. Be careful.
